A brokerage for things that were never for sale
Stauber Minnesota Realty™ is a parody real-estate brokerage. Our inventory is the stuff you already own — your health plan, your heating bill, your national forests, your Social Security check, your ballot — and our listing agent is the congressman who votes on all of it.
We started the firm because the 8th District’s representative is very good at press releases and very quiet at town halls. A congressional voting record is hard to read. A Zillow listing isn’t. So we translate: a vote to let premium tax credits expire becomes a price increase; a resolution repealing a mineral withdrawal becomes a closing; a vote against the infrastructure law, followed by a groundbreaking photo, becomes an “I Built That” bridge.
We are not a campaign. We don’t endorse or name candidates, and nobody pays us. We would like you to read the listings, check our sources, and vote on November 3.

None of these institutions endorse this site. We just rely on them.
How we check our listings
Our standards
- Votes come from the official House Clerk roll call and are linked where they appear.
- Quotes are verbatim, dated and linked. If we can’t source a quote, it doesn’t run.
- Numbers come from agencies, courts, the CBO, the FEC or named reporting, and say “about” when they’re estimates.
- Composite voices (the “reviews” and “tenant” quotes on some listings) are labeled as illustrations built from reported circumstances. They are not real people.
- Credit where due. When the agent casts a good vote — certifying the 2020 election, a federal bargaining-rights vote, the final PACT Act — we list it.
- No candidates. We don’t name, endorse or coordinate with anyone on the ballot.
